Privacy Policy

Tryline is a rugby training app operated by Verifit Limited (“Tryline”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains the personal data we collect, why we use it, who may process it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address, name, and account credentials. If you sign in with a third party, we receive the account details that provider makes available to us.
• Profile and training information — details you choose to provide, such as display name, date of birth, body weight, height, playing position, workouts, exercises, sets, reps, personal records, performance results, and Programs you create or are assigned.
• AI Coach content — if you choose to use the optional AI Coach, the text you send and the conversation context needed to respond. This may include training information that the app supplies to the conversation for the request you make.
• Images you upload — you may upload images, such as screenshots or photos, to discuss training or import a workout draft. The app creates compressed copies and thumbnails for this feature. We do not copy the original photo-library file unchanged.
• Diagnostics and usage information — limited device and app information and crash reports, used to keep the app stable.

How we use your data

• To provide the app and sync your data across your devices.
• To calculate your statistics, personal records, and performance standards.
• To respond when you choose to use AI Coach, including analysing text and images you send to it and creating a native workout draft where that feature is available.
• To send essential service communications, such as sign-up and password-reset emails.
• To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the app.

Authorised Tryline staff may review uploaded images where necessary to investigate suspected unlawful, sexually exploitative, threatening or harassing content, infringements of another person's rights, or other misuse described in our Terms. This review helps us protect users and enforce our Terms.

Please avoid including information in AI Coach that you would not want included in a training conversation or image. AI Coach is optional and does not make decisions for you about access to Tryline or your account.

Where UK data protection law applies, we rely on the lawful bases of performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the app, and, where required, your consent.

Where AI Coach data is kept and processed

AI Coach conversation content is kept separately from the app's main training data. Compressed image copies and thumbnails are stored privately. Conversation content may also remain in the conversation context and in local app caches.

To generate a response, relevant conversation content, including images you upload, is processed by a large language model (LLM) provider.

Who processes data for us

We do not sell your personal data. We use service providers to operate the app, including:

• Database, authentication, and storage providers to store data privately and manage account access.
• DigitalOcean to run the AI Coach service.
• LLM providers to process AI Coach requests through the model selected for the service.
• Sentry for crash and error reporting.
• Email and payment providers to deliver transactional emails and, where applicable, process in-app purchases through the relevant app store.

We may also disclose data where required by law. Provider processing locations and transfer safeguards depend on the service and configuration in use.

Retention and deletion requests

We keep account and training data while your account is active, unless a different retention period is needed for a particular purpose. You can start an account deletion request in the app or at tryline.pro/delete-account.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on it. To make a request, email privacy@tryline.pro. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular review of our practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Children

The Tryline app is available to users aged 13 and over. Tryline AI Coach is available only to users aged 16 and over. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian, including when using AI Coach. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without the required permission or used AI Coach while under 16, please contact us at privacy@tryline.pro. We will review the request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
